Parched and in Peril

We know fire burns brightly in people’s minds about a changing climate in California, it always will come down to water.

Extreme drought is causing wells to wither, earlier and earlier.  Taps are running dry while bountiful fields of nuts, fruits and vegetables grow to feed our nation, while neighbors suffer silently, relying on bottled water.  Even those in charge of a decades old engineering marvel that allowed California to blossom, a system of reservoirs, canals and dams, understand it was a project built for a different century…a different climate.  Answers are also running dry as to how California will continue to be able to bring water to people on the coast while ensuring nature has a chance to survive the transformation done to the landscape by generations of politicians, engineers, cities and towns, farms and front yards.
